Areas of Expertise
Commercial Law

Keeena completed her law degree cum laude at the University of the Free State in 2019. She studied further and completed her LLM in International Economic Law in 2021. Her LLM studies were mainly concerned with the regulation of free trade between countries. Her dissertation titled “ Dispute settlement Mechanisms in the African Continental Free Trade Agreement: Lessons from the WTO  Crisis” is centred on the efficiency of the dispute settlement mechanism adopted by the agreement in contrast with the defunct WTO dispute settlement mechanism  as she believes that the dispute settlement mechanism can either ensure the accomplishment of the greater goal of the agreement that is increasing intra trade between African countries for the benefit of the staggering African economies or it can lead to a further frustration of the much needed intra trade between African countries.

Her experience stretches across corporate, commercial, and company law in various sectors both in South Africa and Lesotho and includes:

  • Telecommunications
  • Insurance
  • Project finance
  • Banking regulations and finance
  • Group restructures
  • Anti-bribery and corruption policies and investigations
  • Preparation of loan facilities
  • Consumer and data protection

  • LLB (University of the Free State)
  • LLM (University of the Free State)
  • Risk and Compliance Management (UCT)
